Sunday, April 25th, 2010The Director General of the National Teachers (NTI), Dr. Aminu Ladan Sharehu said all educational initiatives and reform of the amount of combined resources for nothing without the experience of a culture of teaching force adequate training and very motivated.
He said the flag outside the induction course for participation in the second group of teachers under Federal Paik, Niger State. That all education stakeholders from around the world have agreed that teachers are key to any successful education effort to add that education is the basis that the country’s development rests.
Education does not only provide highly skilled workforce needed for the transfer of resources into goods and services to ensure a good quality of life of citizens, but one of the main factors that can promote unity, social and our country Nigeria.
“We at the National Institute teachers are proud to be an agency to guide the process of development. Since its inception in 1976, the Institute has been vigorously carrying out its mandate to improve the quality of education. Although our update, postgraduate diploma and fitness plan, we are making our modest contribution to the development of teachers, “he added.
He said that with the support of the Federal Ministry of Education, National Teachers Institute is planning to introduce undergraduate and graduate programs for teachers in Nigeria.
Dr. Laden said that teachers are reservoirs of knowledge in society, the institute could not afford to confine NCE and Diploma. Adding that since 2006 the Institute has participated in the rehabilitation of 145, 000 primary school teachers nationally.
Minister of State for Education, Hajiya Aishatu Dukku Jibril stressed that members of the Federal Master Plan program interventions along the other side of the federal government in education is a recognition and commitment to education as the basis human capital development.
He said the various government education programs puts more emphasis on training as an essential tool for transforming society and sustainable economic development of society.
